Getting Started
This week, children continue to observe and record the growth of their bean, grass, and onion bulb plants. Children will:
- Continue to observe, compare, and measure their growing plants
- Compare indoor and outdoor plants
- Use nonstandard measurement to record the size of their plants
- Continue to create graphs to track their plants' growth
- Listen to the read-aloud story The Little Red Hen by Paul Galdone to learn a lesson about helping
- Watch the Between the Lions video “Help!” to listen to another version of the little red hen story
- Be introduced to the letter “Kk,” the letter sound /k/, and the word kitchen
