Have children stand in a circle. Sing the first verse of “The More We Get Together.” Invite children to join in. When you have sung to each child, have the whole group sing the last two lines.
The More We Get Together
(sung to the tune of “Have You Ever Seen a Lassie?”)
The more we get together,
Together, together.
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
For your friends are my friends,
And my friends are your friends.
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
There’s <child’s name> and <child’s name>,
and <child’s name> and <child’s name>.
There’s <child’s name> and <child’s name>,
and <child’s name> and <child’s name>.
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
