Greeting Song: “Where Is?” #8
ELA Focus Skills: Follow Directions, Name Recognition
Sing “Where Is?” to children to start the day.
Today, have children sing their own name. Demonstrate by singing the first verse alone.
- Point to yourself and sing, Here is <your name> / Here is <your name.> / Here I am. / Here I am.
- Then have children sing the rest of the song with you.
Encourage children to take turns starting the verse. If a child is uncomfortable starting the verse and singing alone, then have everyone sing it together to that child.
Where Is?
