Read aloud The Three Little Javelinas or another version of The Three Little Pigs or a new book about building. Talk about the importance of strong, stable buildings and the building process in the story or concept book. Encourage children to make connections between the story/concept and their own experiences.
English Language Learners: Name some of the important words in the book and pantomime actions. Have children repeat the words and pantomime the actions after you.
